◅ Mass UK Cannabis Planting begins Fri 17th May

Does noone here want MDMA etc. legalisation?

Yup: unless you're a politician, it's possible to stand up in the UK
and say "I think cannabis should be decriminalized / legalized" without
losing all credibility. Try that for other illegal drugs, and the
press will crucify you (e.g. Sting and ecstasy).

I think many of those who support the legalization (or
decriminalization) of all drugs believe that their best strategy
for now is to fight the cannabis battle. A few years after cannabis
legalization, when the benefits of the change are clear, it will be much
easier to open the debate on other drugs.

I think you're dead wrong. First, I believe the health risks of most
illegal drugs, except those which are a direct result of their illegal
status, are minimal. Secondly, I believe that the best way to deal with
any risk is through education, not legislation. Finally, whatever the
risks involved, I believe that government has no sovereignty over my
body and what I choose to do with it.
