Most of the libertarians I've encountered on the net argue against
the arbitrary limits that present laws set on the permitted levels
on a handful of drugs, in favour of impairment testing.

By contrast with breathalyzers, an impairment test *directly*
assesses the subject's ability to drive, by measuring reaction
time, coordination, etc.

The advantages are obvious: an impairment test checks for all
incapacitating effects simultaneously, whether caused by legal
drugs, illegal drugs, tiredness, or whatever.
