Stupid DNS tricks

When I was an undergrad at York, back in the Dark Ages (i.e. NRS
ordering of names), we tried to persuade the department to name the new
student machine `idding', or maybe `ool'.  `rap' was also mooted, but
rejected on taste grounds.  (It ended up as `Orion2'.  Some people are
no fun.)

Bret Marquis's signature probably still includes his UUCP address:
