Presumably you mean "probably not, certainly not in primary education".
(Pedantic?  Me?  Well, not in the true sense of the word. :-)

Anyway, my father was a secondary school teacher for 38 years, and
felt strongly that a Cert Ed (and even a PGCE) was insufficient.  The
problem is that one year can't give you more than a few weeks' teaching
practice, and inevitably a lot of that happens before the relevant
theory.

I think a reasonable minimum to turn out good teachers would be four
terms.
