The BBC Micro contained a relay to enable it to pause the cassette
recorder (via the 2.5mm "remote control" jack socket).

The following (interpreted) BASIC program switches the relay on and off,
and would cause an unhealthy sounding buzz.

    10 *MOTOR 0
    20 *MOTOR 1
    30 GOTO 10

Allegedly, running the assembly language equivalent could cause
permanent damage to the relay.  Can anyone confirm or deny this?
