JANET <-> Internet gateways

You don't need to do anything special: just use the domain address and
the MX records will do the Right Thing (which in most cases is simply
to deliver it direct---most of JANET is on the Internet these days).

If you have a "JANET-ordered" domain, for example

    fred.bloggs@uk.ac.camford.cs

then just reverse the order of the components to give

    fred.bloggs@cs.camford.ac.uk

I'm afraid you still sometimes see such addresses in signatures,
business cards, etc., and they even sometimes leak out in mail
headers and Usenet articles. In the latter case, a gentle note to the
relevant postmaster might be a good idea.
