It was posted on 22nd September with a 40 day expiry.  If your news
system honours the "Expires:" header, it should still be in your news
spool.  Try looking in comp.answers and news.answers too; they may
have a less harsh expiration policy on your system.

A number of places auto-archive news.answers postings, including

    rtfm.mit.edu:pub/usenet-by-group/news.answers/mail/mime-faq

If you have archie, ask it for "mime-faq".

There isn't too much use of MIME for Usenet articles (yet), partly
because there's no standard saying how to do it (again, yet).

A number of newsreaders do have some support for reading and posting
MIMEish articles: see section 9 of the FAQ.
